eLearning
The library supports students who are taking classes online or who are otherwise not physically able to travel to the library by providing the following resources:
Journal Articles, eBooks, and Other Online Resources
We have several collections of eBooks available (including many that can be downloaded) that cover many academic topics. Please see our Library Guide dedicated to eBooks for more information.
We also subscribe to several databases that contain scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles as well as articles from newspapers, magazines and other publications. You can browse the list of databases by subject or by type in our Library Guide on Databases or explore A-to-Z to see which periodicals we have available in fulltext. We also provide Interlibrary Loan for items we do not possess in our collection.
Video & Music Streaming
We also offer NAXOS Music Library, which features streaming Classical music (with some Jazz, Folk, World music and other genres) as well as biographical and historical info, and libretti and synopses for hundreds of operas.
Information Literacy Tutorials
IRIS (Information Research & Instruction Suite). These tutorials help you learn to do library research. They cover different types of information sources, improving your searching skills, evaluating information, and avoiding plagiarism.
Librarian Contact
You can speak directly to a librarian by placing a call to 360-383-3285 during library business hours (see sidebar) or chat with a librarian through AskWa (available 24/7 – although it won’t always be a WCC librarian).
We also respond to emails sent to the reference desk within 48 hours.
If you have subject specific questions you can contact one of our Subject Librarians directly (full list) – but we are all able to help you with your information needs at any time.
