Circulation
The Circulation desk is located directly inside the main doors of the library. Here you may check out books and materials, request Reserve materials, reserve study rooms, and ask general informational questions. Materials may be checked out for library or home use by using your WCC ID card, available from the Student Center in Syre. To contact the Circulation Desk, call (360)383-3300. Suggestions for materials to add to our collection can be sent via a Material Request form.

General Loan Periods
Books = Two Weeks
Videos and CD's = Three Days

More detailed information on load periods is available on our Circulation Policy page. To learn about options at other libraries see our Borrowing Privileges page.

Interlibrary Loan
When materials are not available here at WCC or other local libraries, we can locate and retrieve them from many libraries around the country, and sometimes internationally. This service is offered free of charge to students, faculty and staff at WCC. The length of time before materials arrive varies with the lending library and the distance and method of shipping so it is best to allow at least two weeks. Loan length and other borrowing conditions may also be set by the lending libraries. ILL request forms are available from our site, or at the circulation and reference desks in the library. Faculty members may also rent videos or 16mm films for classroom use. For more information, contact Heather Williams at 383-3296.

Library Instruction Reference librarians demonstrate the most effective use of the library's catalog and online databases, and can provide physical tours of the library as well as. Our instruction room is equipped with computers for hands-on learning or librarians can go to your classroom if that is preferable. We offer walk-in Information Literacy classes for a week each quarter that students can attend at their own convenience.

Reference Services are available whenever the library is open.  We are pleased to help answer your reference question, in person or via phone. If we are not working with another patron, please feel free to approach us and interrupt our desk work.

See our Research menu for more about Instruction.
