Full Text Periodical Databases
General Purpose
- Academic Search Premier - Has a little bit of everything. Full text for over 4,500 periodical titles. [EBSCO]
- Research Library - Full text for over 2,600 general and academic journals plus abstracts and indexing for over 3,900 additional periodicals. [ProQuest]
- History Resource Center: World - For world history. 130 full text journals, plus primary sources and some monographs. NB: For Gale off-campus use, the user name may already be set, so only password is needed. [Gale]
- Ethnic Newswatch - An interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive full text database of newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority and native presses. [ProQuest]
- OAIster - The pearls of the web. An aggregator database to find the best free web content. Includes links to articles, books, images, video, audio, datasets, and more. [FirstSearch]

- ProQuest Newsstand - Full text of 300+ U.S. and international news sources. [ProQuest]
- National Newspapers Core - The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Christian Science Monitor. [ProQuest]

- Business Source Elite - Full text for nearly 1,100 business publications. [EBSCO]
- ABI/Inform Trade & Industry - More than 1200 business periodicals with a trade or industry focus. [ProQuest]
- Regional Business News - Full text coverage for regional business journals, newspapers, and newswires. [EBSCO]
Nursing and Allied Health
- CINAHL Plus - The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature database has more than 750 full text periodicals. [EBSCO]
- HealthSource - Nursing / Academic Edition. Has nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names. [EBSCO]

- A to Z - The periodical databases WCC subscribes to are listed, and you can find out which periodical titles are available, as well as which database has them. Some titles are available in multiple databases. This is for publications as a whole, not articles.
- ArchiveGrid - Search a combined index of the archives of more than 2,500 museums, historical societies, archives, and libraries. On-campus use only - contact the library for log-on information.

- Encyclopedia Britannica - Access to the online academic version. We also have this encyclopedia in print at AE5.E363 in Reference.

- ARTstor - Image database, with over 500,000 images of art objects, paintings, photographs, and more. For off-campus access, first create an account while on campus.
- CAMIO - Catalog of Art Museum Images Online. 95,000+ images that are rights-cleared for academic use. On-campus access only.
- Naxos Music Library - Naxos Music Library is a comprehensive collection of classical music for streaming over the internet. It also has some jazz, folk, and world music. Streaming only - the music is not in a format suitable for downloading. If there are too many users accessing Naxos at once and you are denied access, please try at another time.

- CQ Researcher - An electronic library of issues in the news. Statistics, opinions, essays and more on both sides of current controversial issues. Also available in PRINT in the library Reference section: H35.C672.
- CultureGrams - Online version of a popular print resource that explores culture, demographics, and more for countries around the world. See GT150.C85 in both Reference and Stacks for print versions.
- World Conflicts Today - created and maintained by CultureGrams. Has reports and slideshows, and provides background, statistics, and analysis.

Each has slightly different offerings (eg BPL has a Virtual Reference product, and WCLS has Biographical and Business databases that BPL doesn't)

Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarter Hours
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Summer Quarter Hours
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays.
Closed on Saturdays when the Monday following is a holiday.
Closed during breaks when the college is not in session.
Fall 2009 starts 9/21 and ends 12/10.
Winter 2010 starts 1/4 and ends 3/24.
